Schneider Electric (SE), a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with H2-Enterprises, an integrated energy company operating in the hydrogen and renewable energy sector, in order to explore and develop innovative solutions for energy supply and management in buildings.
SE made the announcement on Friday, stating that the collaboration aims at leveraging the firm’s expertise in energy management and the H2-Enterprises’ innovative technology in clean hydrogen so as to contribute to the decarbonization and net-zero objectives of the Middle East and Africa.
According to Schenider, the MOU is meant to set the stage for collaboration on various initiatives. The collaboration will focus on joint project development, pilot programs, technology exchange, and knowledge sharing, which involves leveraging the strengths and capabilities of both organizations in order to explore, develop, and implement innovative solutions for energy supply and management in buildings.
The MOU establishes a governance structure in order to ensure the effective implementation of the collaboration. The Vice President of Digital Energy and Software for Middle East & Africa, SE, Amel Chadli, will represent Schneider Electric, while the Executive Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of H2-Enterprises, Michael Stusch, will represent his Company.
Chadli, while speaking at the signing, expressed that under the MOU, Schneider Electric will provide its expertise and technical support in energy management, infrastructure, building automation, and related areas, stating that the collaboration will enhance the development and implementation of clean hydrogen solutions.

Stusch, who also spoke at the signing, said that H2-Enterprises will contribute its expertise and technologies in clean hydrogen production, storage, and conversion, which includes waste-to-hydrogen, hydrogen from solar and wind, Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC) for hydrogen storage and transport, renewables integration, and fuel cells.
