Rivers man builds children’s hospital in Buhari’s hometown

Some northern youths on Sunday descended on the rich as well as the political elite in the region for not touching the lives of the people.

Specifically, the youth, under the aegis of the Arewa Youth Assembly, carpeted the northern leaders for the under development of the region.

They wonder why a southerner, Mr Jack-Rich Tein, who is the President of Belema Oil, would build a children’s hospital christened: the Daura Children Hospital in the hometown of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) in Katsina State.

This, the leader of the AYA, Mohammed Danlami, said in a statement in Kaduna, was unacceptable to the youth of the region.

The youth also commended Rick for building other laudable projects in some part of the region such as in Bauchi, Borno, Katsina, Sokoto and Kaduna states, among others.

The statement read in part, “No wonder he has received many traditional titles as appreciation from many emirates in northern Nigeria due to his contributions in the alleviation of poverty and suffering in northern Nigeria.

“Jack-Rich Tein, who happens to be an indigene of Rivers State, has done so many things worthy of praise for the North than many millionaires and billionaires of northern extraction.

“He has touched the lives of widows, orphans, and the destitute, and has been awarding series of scholarships to countless number of students.

“Since the untimely death of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna Sokoto, who was the architect of northern Nigeria, we never knew a day was going to come when a fighter and liberator of northern Nigeria aside the Sardauna Sokoto will emerge.

“No doubts, Jack-Rich Tein is fulfilling the will and dream of our founding father, Sir Ahmadu Bello, of blessed memory, as he happens to be a replica of the Sardauna in the spirit of been de-tribalised, nationalistic, patriotic, youth empower, cultural developer, champion of unity in diversity and an astute leader.

“The 45-year-old Tein from Kula, Rivers State, has shown his commitment to the alleviation of the suffering of people of northern Nigeria more than our on sons, who are also billionaires.”

They pleaded with the entire people of the North and Nigeria in general to emulate “this unique Nigerian, who indeed is a re-birth of the Sardauna.”
