Pinnacle Oil & Gas Limited, an indigenous Nigerian petroleum firm, has announced the appointment of Robert Dickerman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company.

The appointment was officially made during the Company’s Board meeting in Kano on Tuesday.

The Chairman of the Company, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero, on behalf of the Board of Directors, said that the appointment was based on Dickerman’s experience and stellar performance during his tenure as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and subsequently as Managing Director (MD) and acting CEO.

Prior to his current appointment, Dickerman had a rich career as a senior energy executive with more than 30 years of experience. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management at the University of Chicago and a BS degree from Union College. His expertise spans across strategy, development, operations, performance management, and corporate governance.

The new CEO was the MD/CEO of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) and held leadership positions as COO of Marubeni Power and CEO of Sempra Energy Solutions and Edison Source of Edison International.

His appointment is an outcome of the recent appointment of two members of the Company’s executive management as Executive Directors. The appointees were Adenike Labinjo, who is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company, and Sunday Anyaogu, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company.

During the meeting, the Board praised the Company’s founder, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his pioneering efforts and immense contribution to the development of the industry giant, which positioned it at the zenith of leadership in the downstream oil sector.
