There’s an age-long saying that “as you lay your bed, so you lie on it,” this is so typical and true. Tidyness is so endearing, it’s like looking through crystal waters.
A lot of people have aborted their erstwhile bestowment due to untidyness. A lady had a chance to travel overseas, alongside others, for a conference but she couldn’t make it because her international passport was asked for impromptu and she just couldn’t figure out where she kept it.
All the others that tendered theirs got visas immediately and traveled out for that life-changing experience in Chicago, USA. Tidyness is a requisite for great leadership. Moreso, tidyness in appearance can get you a long way. You’re first judged by your appearance before your content is perceived, and of course, your content is aptly represented by your outward appearance!
Laziness is an offshoot of untidyness and it boils from a non desire to go the extra mile but the truth is that only those who go the extra mile can lead and live extraordinary live.
Intelligence, physical beauty or material acquisitions may gain you friends, but your overall attitude towards life is what determines the quality of friends or acquaintances you’ll retain. It is a small leak in a big ship that has the capability of sinking the ship. What you permit is a pointer to what you contain.
Tidyness enables to be an adept solutionist. All commendable inventions are neatly packaged. Disorganisation is a proof of deep-rooted confusion, and confusion hasn’t given birth to anything worthwhile, the last time I checked… I reiterate: it’s those that go the extra mile that enjoy an extraordinary life. A tidy lifestyle is a proof of a tidy mind and it’s only such that are calm enough to proffer solutions in life’s never-ending tussle(s).
The world will naturally veer towards a person that has clear direction, so tidyness in life and living will make one a sought after personality, anyday, anytime! Tidyness goes beyond your physical appearance, it’s reflected in how you plan your day, life, activities… It’s also seen in how you react to anomalies.
At the start of everyday, you must carefully jot down all you want to achieve that day and put a time frame on each activity. Some people start off each day, juggling through activities and end up tired and unfulfilled.
Like the age-long saying, “the fastest way to do so many things is to do one thing at a time”! Also how a person reacts to adversities is a pointer to the level of mental tidyness they possess and our perception to life makes all the difference…
This poem says it all:
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debt is high
And You want to smile but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit;
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit!
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As some of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt
You never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit!
Make your office and home habitable, schedule all your plans and goals carefully for maximum output. Neatness is soothing and alluring and it’s high standard living.
It’ll impact on your psychological, spiritual, financial, social and physiological well-being and cause you to be an impact-driven person.
Cheerio…
