Nigerian Gas Firm Introduces 20KG Composite LPG Cylinders to Deepen Gas Utilization

Second Coming Nigeria Limited, an indigenous gas marketer, has introduced 20 kilogram (kg) composite Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders into the domestic market in order to deepen gas utilization in every household within the country.
The firm’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Basil Ogbuanu, at the launch of the gas cylinders, which took place in Lagos on Tuesday, said that the new products would make it easier for families to enjoy durability rather than having to refill frequently.
According to him, the cylinders are part of the Company’s efforts to deepen the usage of LPG in Nigeria. He added that unlike regular metal cylinders, which are heavy and prone to explosion, composite cylinders are safer, transparent, lightweight, rustproof, non-explosive, and translucent.
In his own words, ” 20kg means refilling once in three months or twice in three months, rather than refilling four times in a month with the 12.5kg cylinders. This new cylinder is economical, safe, healthier and it saves households from going to refilling plants frequently.”
Ogbuanu expressed that the 20kg LPG cylinder goes for N75,000 due to the increase in foreign exchange rates. He urged the Federal Government to reduce the import duty on cylinders, LPG equipment, and accessories because the amount of money paid on import duty was responsible for the increase in the cylinder’s price, which is not meant to be more than N55,000 in the market.
The CEO advised all households to patronize the product in order to save time, energy, and money, admitting that the acceptability of the new composite cylinders is huge and that the Company has already recorded massive patronage from customers.
