Possible EVs, a leading indigenous electric vehicle manufacturing company, has revealed that it is set to revolutionize public transportation and pave the way for a greener Nigeria, as the country gradually advances into a greener transportation space.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Possible EVS, Mosope Olaosebikan, disclosed that under the first phase of the project, the firm would roll out an initial fleet of 30 units that are specially designed for passenger transport and are aimed at providing last-mile solutions for both inter and intra-city trips.

He added that the fleet will also offer options of shared rides in order to make it cost-effective and eliminate the occurrence of price surge, stating that the ‘zero emission’ characteristic of electric vehicles makes them a huge contribution to cleaner and greener urban environments.

In his own words, “as a socially responsible and forward-thinking organization, we’re thrilled to lead this transformative journey. We believe our pioneering efforts will inspire other players in the transportation industry to embrace sustainable practices and contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous Nigeria.

“With the provision of this eco-friendly transportation alternative, Possible EVs intends to also raise awareness for the benefits of electric vehicles and encourage the adoption of sustainable transportation practices in Nigeria.”

The CEO further expressed that in order to ensure easy access to reliable and convenient charging infrastructure, the firm will establish charging stations across the city of Abuja, which serves as the pilot program for future expansions and it will also aid seamless operations of the system, as well as reduce concerns of range anxiety.

“Our vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art features, including spacious interiors, advanced safety systems, and user-friendly technology, and our plans to install fast-charging infrastructure across key locations will ensure convenient access to charging stations and minimize any concerns about range anxiety,” he explained.

Possible EVs is an African Company that aims at simplifying and accelerating the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Nigeria. It was founded in 2021 and is an Abuja-based startup that plans to expand across major states in Nigeria, as well as also increase from the initial 30 units of electric taxis in its first fleet to over 200 units by the middle of 2024.
