Dangote Slashes Diesel, Aviation Fuel Prices to N940, N980, Respectively

By Ese Ufuoma

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has disclosed substantial price reductions for diesel and aviation fuel. Diesel now stands at N940 per litre, while aviation fuel is priced at N980 per litre.

This latest move follows Dangote’s recent decision to slash prices to N1,000 per litre just two weeks ago, which was met with widespread acclaim. The new pricing structure offers incentives for bulk purchases, with the N940 rate applying to customers buying five million litres or more, and the N980 rate for those purchasing one million litres or more.

The Head of Communication at Dangote, Anthony Chiejina, emphasized that the company remains committed to easing the economic burden on consumers amidst challenging times in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has commended Dangote’s efforts, describing the price reductions as an “enterprising feat.”

The impact of these adjustments is felt across various sectors, with the Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ajayi Kadiri, highlighting the positive implications for the national economy.
