Coscharis Motors, one of Nigeria’s leading automobile assembling and marketing companies, has exhibited the unique attributes of its Geely brand at the Corona School’s 70th anniversary.

The Company’s Group General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Abiona Babarinde, while speaking at the event, said that the display of the Geely brand, which the company exclusively represents in Nigeria, was aimed at adding value and colour in celebrating the achievements of the school for over 70 years.

Babarinde expressed the company’s excitement to be a part of the celebration, given the heritage and legacy in making its alignment with the Coscharis brand’s vision of remaining timeless in its relevance. The Geely vision of richer and fuller lives for individuals and a bright future for all is also one to emphasise. This shared passion of continuity, innovation and sustainability makes the partnership between both parties a perfect one.

Coscharis Motors partnered with Corona School as it celebrated its 70th Anniversary at the school’s Lekki premises in Lagos. The partnership was aimed at adding value and colour, celebrating the achievements of the school for over seven decades with an array of the latest Geely brands in Nigeria.

According to the Group General Manager, given the uniqueness of the 70th Anniversary celebration and the characteristics of the parents, it is only proper to support the event with an automotive brand that focuses on making lives better by delivering on both their aspirations and practical needs without compromise.

He further noted that the partnership offered both existing customers and prospects an opportunity to experience the Geely brands on display, including the latest Okavango and Coolray, with favourable pricing.

While the New Coolray vehicle comes with an intelligent driving system including features like lane keeping assistance, blind spot detection, and automatic parking assistance for a safer and more convenient driving experience, the Okavango is Geely’s largest SUV and has an industry-leading space utilisation rate that maximises interior space. It has seven seats that can be fully folded, providing an expansive yet functional loading space.
The Parent-Teacher-Association Chairman of Corona School, Solomon Kadiri, in commenting on the event and Coscharis Motors’ participation, expressed his excitement about the partnership.

“We are elated to partner with Coscharis Motors for our Fun Fair event”, said Kadiri. “This partnership shows our dedication to continually give our families exceptional experiences and opportunities outside the normal educational and business environments.”

The Chairman also added that the collaboration provided a unique opportunity to celebrate strong commitments to not only education, but also innovation and community development.

Meanwhile, Ferrari’s new tab first fully electric model, will hit the roads in October 2026. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Benedetto Vigna, made this known recently as it posted a 15 per cent rise in first-quarter core earnings and stuck to its broad financial guidance for the year.
Vigna also said in February, the much anticipated first Electric Vehicle (EV), a departure for Ferrari, known for its roaring petrol engines, would be presented at the company’s capital market day on October 9. It is the first time the luxury sports carmaker has given the timing of when the new car could reach clients.

Ferrari plans to continue offering petrol and hybrid cars in the future, along with its EVs. Hybrid models, which it started to sell in 2019, made up 51 per cent of Ferrari’s car sales last year.
