ADIPEC 2020: Saudi Energy Minister to discuss oil & gas sector dev

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman will participate in the opening of the Abu Dhabi Petroleum Conference “ADIPEC 2020”, from 9 to 12 November, via video technology, as he reviews his vision of the oil and gas sector.

The conference is organized by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in the UAE, in the presence of many experts and those interested in energy affairs.

The UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei, OPEC Secretary General Muhammad Barkindo, and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak will also participate in the opening session of the first day.

ADIPEC 2020 provides an opportunity for global industry leaders to assess the current landscape of the oil and gas sector, in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

It is decided to focus on strategies that will lead to long-term success, taking into account the long-term impact of the Corona crisis on the global economy, and energy supply and demand.

The attendees will also discuss the effects of the (Covid-19) pandemic on the global energy transition, with the direction towards a low-carbon world.

The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference “ADIPEC” is an annual global event that brings together energy sector leaders and major specialists in the oil and gas industry around the world, under one umbrella, to discuss and discuss the future of energy markets and geopolitical and technological trends.
