The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Seplat Energy Plc have held discussions on plans to increase oil and gas production across their jointly held assets.
The meeting took place when the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., Bashir Bayo Ojulari, received Seplat Energy’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Effiong Okon, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
This marked the first official engagement between the two executives since Okon assumed office as Seplat Energy’s CEO on August 1, 2026.
Both leaders reviewed current production levels across their joint-venture acreage and outlined technical strategies required to ramp up output.
NNPC Ltd. and Seplat Energy also jointly own the ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC), which operates a 300-million-standard-cubic-feet-per-day gas processing plant in Imo State.
The ANOH plant commenced gas production in January 2026 as part of broader national initiatives to boost domestic gas supply.
Before succeeding Roger Brown as CEO of Seplat Energy, Okon served as the Managing Director of AGPC.
