By Adaobi Rhema Oguejiofor

The Edo State government-backed Edo Modular Refinery has ordered for the supply of 150,000 barrels of crude oil to meet the demand of its growing client base.

This was disclosed on Sunday in a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media Projects to the Edo State Government, Crusoe Osagie.

According to the statement, the crude oil needed would be sourced from the Oza Oil Field, which is operated by Decklar Resources Incorporated and Millennium Oil and Gas Company Limited.

Osagie said that the facility with its feedstock can produce about 500,000 litres of diesel, with about 300,000 litres of Naphtha and 200,000 litres of low-pour fuel oil.

This comes weeks after commencing production at the refinery, which is a 6,000 barrels per day capacity plant. It is however being expanded to a 21,000 barrels per day facility.
