The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Total Nigeria Plc have commenced a move to promote the CNG Autogas programme.
Chairman of Total Nigeria and Senior Vice President, Africa Division, Total Marketing Services, Mr. Stanislas Mittelman, on Thursday, received in the audience the Group Managing Director (GMD), Mallam Mele Kyari.
Their discussions centred on strengthening cooperation to jointly promote CNG Autogas Programme with visible deployment of infrastructure and facilities and also to sustain collaboration on ensuring seamless supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country.
Stakeholders believe that such discussions and many other alternatives must be given priority.
The general view among Nigerians is that the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, has become a one problematic source of fueling economic problems in Nigeria.
Oftentimes, the whole country goes into trouble whenever there is a policy change about the PMS.
It is left to be seen, if Total Nigeria has the capacity to do well in this area, should the Federal Government policies allow for effective and efficient operations.
