Shell Lifts Force Majeure on Major Oil Exports From Nigeria

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the SPDC joint venture, has lifted the force majeure slammed on Bonny export programme with effect from Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

A Spokesperson for the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) said in a statement that the force majeure was declared on March 3, 2022 following a significant decline in crude receipts at the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal.

In November 22, Shell had lifted force majure declared on oil export programme from the terminal following a leak on the 150,000 b/d Nembe Creek Trunk Line (NCTL), one of two pipelines that feeds crude to the Bonny Light terminal.
