A Russian business mission under the national Made in Russia brand will begin on 13 October 2026 in Cape Town as part of African Energy Week 2026. The delegation will comprise 13 companies seeking to develop partnerships with businesses in South Africa and other African countries.
According to a statement by the organisers, the mission is organized by the Russian Export Center (REC).
Participants will present products and technologies for the oil and gas industry, including production, drilling and pipeline infrastructure, as well as industrial equipment, instrumentation, control systems and digital infrastructure solutions.
The agenda will include B2B meetings with importers, distributors and industry companies from South Africa and other African countries, the statement said.
These meetings, Valuechain reports, will give potential partners an opportunity to explore Russian manufacturers’ offerings, discuss local market needs and supply terms, and identify opportunities for technological cooperation.
The mission aims to establish direct business contacts and develop long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between Russian and South African companies. For African businesses, it offers an opportunity to meet suppliers of solutions for energy and industrial projects at a single venue.
The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource, non-energy exports (NRE). It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets.
The REC Group includes the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), ROSEXIMBANK, and the REC Export School.
