NCDMB, Others Win Awards at NIES 2024 Gala Night

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was awarded with the award of Excellence for the Nigerian Content Award 2023 at the ongoing Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2024.

The Industry Awards Gala night was another high point of the day two of the week-long Summit which began in Abuja on Monday, Feb 26, 2024.

The dinner and award night was sponsored by NCDMB and is aimed at celebrating industry players, who have shown tremendous excellence over the years.

The Executive Officer of ND Western, Layi Fatona, was presented with the NIES Lifetime Achievement Award 2023.

Other awardees include Eloho Aiboni, Managing Director, SNEPCO and Mele Kolo Kyari, who both won the Energy Personality of the year 2023.

First in the industry recognition award for the year 2023 category was Exonmobil, the Nigeria Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) and Africa Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO).

The Industry Recognition for Petroleum Achievement Award went to Festus Agbani Fayemi, while Techno Oil won the Industry Recognition Award 2023 for the downstream sector.

Sustainable Energy Business Award 2022 went to Chevron Nigeria Limited.

Chairperson of Brittania-U Nigeria Limited (BUNL), Catherine Uju Ifejirika, won the Women in Energy Award 2023.

Best exhibitor award at NIES 2023 went to Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited and Shell Petroleum Development Company, while NNPC retail Limited won the best downstream company of the year 2023.

Welcoming the guests, Ella Agbo Nicholas, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, thanked all the participants and urged them to join hands in building a sustainable energy space, adding that Nigeria is very much interested in all forms of investments in the sector.
