To return to its top position in the nation’s sports as well as meet the yearnings and aspirations of sports lovers, Kano state on Wednesday set up a committee to reposition sports in the state.
The committee, chaired by Deputy Governor Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, is charged to work towards ensuring a “harmonious working relation between the state ministry of sports, state sports commission and the Office of the Special Adviser on Sports.”ADVERTISEMENT
Other members of the committee include the commissioner for Information and Youth and Sports, chairman Sports Commission, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports and the chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club.
