The company’s automobile and spare parts operations are outfitted with a highly sophisticated workshop, experienced managers and qualified technicians for repairs and maintenance of trucks and haulage vehicles.

In the drive to diversify and expand its business operations, it took a firm decision to venture into the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market with construction of the 11,000 Cubic Meters capacity Gas Plant that is near completion. This investment objective is in congruence with the Federal Government’s drive to promote LPG as the main fuel for domestic cooking in Nigeria. The company commenced investment in the LPG market in 2017.
The company is also into petroleum depot operations, with its Warri Depot Terminal that started operation in July 2017, with staff strength of 50, and licensed by the DPR to store and distribute white petroleum products in January 2018. The Depot facility is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, receives Petroleum products from ocean moving vessels into the terminal from vessels through the company’s newly constructed cargo jetty.
AYM Shafa terminals are available for rental and are safe and secure for product storage.
Achievements
Despite the challenges in the business environment, AYM Shafa was able to expand its retail stations outlets in response to customer demands, and also expanded its distribution network to other parts of the country, with additional number of trucks to meet the growing needs of its customers. This entices it to build amiable relationships with different partners.
The company is in partnership with BP Oil and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which awarded AYM Shafa International Direct Sales Direct Purchase contract for the lifting of crude in return for the supply of refined petroleum products. Additionally, AYM Shafa has recently been upgraded to be one of the Major Oil Marketers in Nigeria. The companies in this category are considered as tier one marketers in the country. The company’s expansion strategy is changing the retailing of Petroleum and allied products in Nigeria through fleet expansion.
AYM Shafa has been a major importer of trucks and spare parts from the United States. This earned it a recognition an award by the American Chamber of Commerce through the Nigerian Embassy as a major importer of Trucks and spare parts by Networking with USA (NUSA) in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Furthermore, on Monday, May 31, 2021, AYM Shafa Limited, added another feather to its cap by winning a Marginal Oil Field license during the recently concluded 2020 Marginal Field Bid round, by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR. This is in company efforts to diversity and have a complete value chain in both Downstream, Midstream and Upstream of the Petroleum Industry.
There is no doubt that AYM Shafa is one of the leading players in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, as it devised strategies to continue its operations even with the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last year, during the peak of the pandemic, the company was among the corporate bodies that provided N100 million to support the Federal Government in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant impact on the country’s population and economy.
