By Danlami Nasir Isah, Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced a Profit After Tax of N7.2 trillion for the year ended December 31, 2025.

The figure, contained in its audited results released today, represents a 33 percent increase from the N5.4 trillion recorded in 2024. The Company also declared a dividend of N5.8 trillion, up by 35 percent.

According to the press release, revenue for the year stood at N34.5 trillion, a 24 percent decline. NNPC attributed the drop to lower crude oil prices and reduced white product volumes following the deregulation of the downstream market in 2024.

Despite the revenue decline, key performance indicators showed strong growth. EBITDA rose by 22 percent to N18.0 trillion, while Earnings Per Share grew by 32 percent to N35.9.

Operating cash flow also improved by 16 percent to N12.8 trillion, and Return on Equity rose by 200 basis points to 16 percent.

On the operational front, the Company said crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.77 million barrels per day, the highest in five years. Natural gas output averaged 7.2 billion standard cubic feet per day, a three-year high.

Commenting on the results, Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari said the performance shows what disciplined execution and a capable workforce can deliver.
