The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has once again been recognised as Nigeria’s best-performing public agency in Ease of Doing Business, winning the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Transparency and Efficiency Champion Award for the fourth consecutive year.

The Board topped the Ease of Doing Business rankings in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, reinforcing its position as a leading reform-driven institution in Nigeria’s public sector.
The award was presented on December 2, 2025, during the PEBEC Awards and Gala Night held at the State House, Abuja. The event, which celebrated excellence in public service reforms, was chaired by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima.

NCDMB’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, was represented at the ceremony by the Acting Director, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Omomehin Ajimijaye. Speaking on behalf of the Board, Ajimijaye attributed the achievement to NCDMB’s strong alignment with national policy reforms, clear management goals, and sustained commitment to institutional efficiency.

The recognition highlights the Board’s operational excellence, teamwork, and consistent engagement with industry stakeholders and partners. It also reflects NCDMB’s emphasis on transparency, efficiency, and quality service delivery in line with its mandate.

Commending the Board’s performance, PEBEC Director General, Princess Zarah Audu, praised NCDMB for automating key processes to reduce human interference and improve service outcomes. She urged other government agencies to emulate the Board’s approach to reform and digitalisation.

In addition to the Transparency and Efficiency Champion Award, NCDMB also received the Reform Champion Award, which was presented to Engr. Cityfaith Baribor Zorasi for her outstanding performance as the Board’s liaison officer to PEBEC.

The NCDMB reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening service delivery, enhancing institutional performance, and promoting the growth of indigenous capacity in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act of 2010.

The Board expressed appreciation to PEBEC for the recognition and commended its staff for their dedication and professionalism, describing the awards as a collective achievement that will further inspire higher standards in the years ahead.
