African Energy Week (AEW) 2026, unarguably one of Africa’s star annual energy events, started today at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, South Africa. The event holds until October 16 (5 days).
Themed “Invest in African Energies: Affordable and Abundant Energy Additions” the AEW 2026 has upstream exploration and production, energy finance, power Africa, downstream and petrochemicals, renewables, AI/data adoption, and country licensing spotlights as focus areas.
At today’s opening, over 10,000 delegates from over 100 countries were seated for the annual convergence of world’s energy experts participating. At the pre-conference: APPO, NOCs, CEOs Forum, Deal Room, technical workshops add pep to the conglomeration.
Valuechain reports from the event’s venue in Cape Town that the main sessions from tomorrow cover Nigeria oil production increase, Namibia offshore, Mozambique LNG, financing etc.
Organized by the African Energy Chamber, with the Valuechain as one of the event’s forefront partners, the meet has been a remarkable global festive occasion worthy of note.
